Bio

Lalit was borne and brought up in Maharashra, India. He did his undergraduate education in Mumbai at IIT-Bombay, India’s one of the premier technology schools. He worked on variety of research and group assignments spanning breadth of chemical engineering. He was the key part of the 30-member team that developed and built a pilot-scale biodiesel facility on IIT campus. He also worked for Procter & Gamble for two years as a Power, Controls & Instrumentation engineer & travelled around the world to support engineering projects. His academic & professional assignments allowed him to understand technology problems well. He then joined Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall of 2013 with an aim to develop sustainable technologies that have a strong impact in energy sector.
 

Research Interests

Lalit’s research focuses on metal organic frameworks to capture carbon dioxide.
